My neighbour wants to move his fence closer to my drive, which will make it difficult opening the car door and getting in and out of my car. The fence is on his land. It is currently about 3 or 4 feet from the boundary, which works ok for us at the moment. Any closer becomes a problem. Is he allowed to move his fence and restrict our access ? Should he have to stick to the original fence lines as shown on the development plans ? Thanks in advance.
Hello, I am a solicitor with 20 years experience. I will try to answer this for you . Unless there is a covenant preventing him moving the fence to his boundary then he can do what he wants on his own land.
