Customer Question

My name is*****'m 50 years old and live in Skelmersdale Lancashire.
I've supported my local non league football club Skelmersdale United F.C for 45 years and recently been informed that I am no longer allowed to go to my social club at the football ground.
The news was sent via text message by the Chairman of the the club who alleges that I was violent and abusive at my daughters 21st birthday party.
He also stated via text message that he had evidence of my wrongdoing on cctv!! However after me asking for said footage he has admitted that the video didn't exist.
I have a cast iron witness who can prove that none of the alleged things I'm meant to have done took place. Yet the Chairman will not listen to my side of the story,I find this so frustrating as the allegations are totally the opposite of my true nature.
Further also I find it infuriating that it all happened via text messages and not face to face.
Where do I stand please?

What would you like to know about this please?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
The Chairman has decided for some reason to make an example of me for no reason whatsoever and I would like to know where I stand.
He will not answer my messages asking to listen to my side of the story.
He has also admitted that the cctv footage he said he had didn't ever exist.
Is this defamation of character?

I presume he only said this to you?

Not to others?

From members who still go to the club,I'm told that he told the bar staff that I was not welcome in the clubhouse and not to be served alcohol.
I was allowed to go and watch games but not use the clubhouse. Anyone caught buying me alcohol,I would be asked to leave the stadium.
I have done nothing wrong and I wouldn't dream of asking someone to buy me a drink.
At my daughters 21st party, the end of the celebration came and she had consumed enough drinks.
I went to say goodbye along with my partner Melanie.
At that point Jessica (my daughter)
Said dad I am going to Liverpool with my friends! To which I replied "don't you think you have had enough?"
To which she replied yes I am.
After three or four times of this I did raise my voice and shout "you are not going"
In no way was I violent or abusive to anyone.
It was a private conversation and nothing to do with anyone else.
Jessica's mum (my ex wife) was stood there and totally agreed with me.
According to what I've heard the Chairman has made out like I'm some kind of thug who has smashed a room up!! That didn't happen at all.
So frustrating as I am in no way a violent person.
And raised thousands of pounds for the club over the years.
I still have the original text message on my mobile phone.
