This answer was rated:

Bought car which broke down in less than 200 miles on my way home, phoned seller as advert stated R.A.C.breakdown assistance.I was refused this and had to pay £ get car and myself home, this was after R.A.C.mechanic performed diagnostic test and informed me car was undriveable due to catastrophic gearbox failure.I have since had car inspected by local garage to confirm that new timing belt had been installed (which I had paid £270.for before picking up car)garage confirmed this had NOT been done .I have been in contact with trading standards and on their advice wrote to seller, letter was delivered to them on April 14 at 11-14. a.m I,ve had no response at all .also I was not given proper paper work for car and although this was promised would be posted to me nothing has come .I feel I am facing a brick wall ,what should I do?.
