Customer Question

I am leaving my rented property in a few days, having given my landlords 2 months notice.
I have been there for about 3 years.
My landlords are an elderly couple in their 80s. One of them is terminally ill in hospital. The husband is incoherent.
It is quite possible that either an executor or somebody with power of attorney will soon be handling their affairs. There is no agent.
When I leave, I will post through the letter box, the keys and my bank details.
My deposit is with the landlords, not with any deposit scheme.
How soon is it reasonable to expect my deposit to be returned, and what should I do if I do not get it back in that time?
