HI WE HAVE RECEIVED A dept recovery plus letter asking us for £149.99 the car parking fine they say was issued in sept 2015 nearly a year ago, we have moved house since then and had 6 months re directed mail but have received no parking fine from a company called highveiw parking ltd a private company in wembley, they say we over stayed by 10min. i have googled this company and they have terrible reputation. Could you be so kind and advice me what to do.

What chances are there of them taking us to court ? As they are a private company and we've never received anything until now

They do quite often sue. They never used to but they have become more aggressive recently basically because they lost control of the industry.

You have to proceed on the basis that they may sue.

It really comes down to whether you are prepared to bear the risk and deal with litigation if they do.

Quite often the signs are not adequate.

But you would have to go to court to argue that if it does go that far.
