I gave my ex girlfriend a very expensive Tiffany necklace, and she broke up with not long after. I want to ask her for it back, so that I can get a refund and my money back. I haven't asked her yet, but I think she'll probably refuse to return it. If she does, do I have any legal recourse?

In that case, I'm afraid you would have no claim at all.

When a gift is given it cannot be recovered unless it is conditional which is rare with romantic gifts.

I'm very sorry but it is no more complicated than that. Once you have given a gift it cannot be recovered.
