Hi, I am purchasing a fabric that features a popular character. The original fabric was licenced to use that image in the production of the fabric. I would like to make clothes in the fabric and sell them, am I allowed to do this as I am not infringing on the image (I am not copying the image in any way) and I am not claiming the items to be licenced items. I know in the US the firs doctrine is used on fabric but do we have anything in the UK?

Hello my name is ***** ***** I will help you.

Is the character subject to copyright?
