Yes a marriage in Cuba is recognised in the UK

In the event that there is a divorce in the UK then yes your wife would be able to make a claim against your assets here in the UK.

A Pre-Nuptial agreement signed after full disclosure may be followed by the Uk court i they feel it makes sufficient provision for your wife and any children.

Please ask if you need further details

Thanks Claire,
So, if my wife comes to the UK, leaves me, and goes back to Cuba, with a pre-nup, and she has brought nothing to the party, you are saying that she may still have a claim on my estate?
Expert:  Clare replied 1 year ago.

Potentially - depending on the length of the relationship and whether or not there are any children

more detail please. Does a pre-nup count for anything?
Expert:  Clare replied 1 year ago.

Provided both of you have legal advice prior to the wedding and there has been complete disclosure and it was signed 28 days prior to the marriage then it is likely that the Judge in the Divorce Court will abide by a pre-nuptial agreement - but they do not have to if they do not consider that the agreement is not fair in all the circumstances
