I am a EEA citizen who lived in the UK from 1988 till 2000

Customer Question

I am a EEA citizen who lived in the UK from 1988 till 2000 and then from August 2013 till present. Do I qualify for UK citizenship or does it have to be the LAST 5 years that I am here?

Thanks for your question. The five year qualifying period is counted back from the date of your application so unfortunately the time spent previously doesn't count. I hope that helps. Please leave a positive rating so that I am credited for my time.
