My company has gone into liquidation. The administrator

Customer Question

My company has gone into liquidation.
The administrator terminated the lease as at 13th June.
We have asked the landlord to grant us stay until the end of July.
He has agreed but requires us to sign a license.
Without that, he is threatening legal action.
I don't, per say, have a problem signing the license but for such a short stay, I am concerned about dilapidation costs etc.
My question is, if we pay him the rent and not sign the license, are we at risk? Can he 'change the locks' or do anything practically within the timescale to remove us?

Hello my name is ***** ***** I will help you with this.

Is the licence in your name or the Company name?

The proposed license is in the name of my new company and covers 4-5 weeks...

Broadly, after the end of July, it's academic because we would have moved into our new offices

What does the licence say, if anything about dilapidations etc?
