I am an Office Manager building company and being made

This answer was rated:

Hi I am an Office Manager for a building company and being made redundant as the company is moving premises so our site can be redeveloped and will work out of the owners home address. It is a small business and my role is being taken on by the owners wife (also company secretary I believe). We have 3 other full time members of staff, tradesmen who have not (yet?) been put at risk. I understand the owners intention is to 'slow down' and not take on so many projects but the company is still running and will be for a good 5-6 months while they all complete a building project. I have been asked to handover and show the wife my duties. She did cover for me recently for my 2 week annual leave. We usually get outside temps in. I have been offered the statutory redundancy pay. Is this fair?
