I have been summoned to Lisbon as a witness to a theft. I have no wish to travel to Lisbon to spend at least one day in court ( all at my own expense), when the thief is not Portuguese and probably won't show up anyway. I will be subject to a fine and possible imprisonment should I not attend.
Please let me know if you can advise me on this matter, or refer me to someone who can.
