My husband did not leave a will and I am still contacting organisations ho he held accounts with. The bank and building society have repaid the money to me. I don't think I need letters of administration as amounts are small.

You need have no concern about Inheritance Tax at all since you are the spouse - and it is likely that you will not need Letters of Administration either
