Customer Question

My bank are trying to recover a debt from an account I have no knowledge of dating back to 2009, I have asked for them to confirm what this account was for, it has been 7 weeks and I cannot get an explanation. I am chasing this almost daily but am not getting any response.

Ok - then in Scotland under the Prescription and Limitation (Scotland) Act 1973, debts are time barred if you have not made payments or admitted the debt in the last 5 years.
Therefore you are bound bound because that would be 2014. So the debt is time barred.

Can I clarify anything for you about this today please?
