Because of the long delay in seeing a consultant on the NHS

Customer Question

Because of the long delay in seeing a consultant on the NHS I visited a private consultant having received a letter of referral from my GP.
The consultant has now written to my GP with a recommendation of an MRI scan with some urgency but my GP now says because I went private for a consultation he will no longer treat me for my condition.
Where do I stand as regards ***** ***** as I have been told a private MRI scan is very expensive and I really do not have money like that.
Many thanks for your time

Hello Barry my name is ***** ***** I will help you with this.

On what basis does your GP say he refuses? Just because you went private?
