I'm charged full cancellation fee outstanding amount for

This answer was rated:

I'm charged full cancellation fee outstanding amount for motorbike insurance due to brain tumour which I could not predicted at all. I'm banned from driving for six months and I had to cancel the insurance. It seems that one company organises insurance company and another company who founds the monthly payment. Where do I stand when comes to cancellation due to unpredicted brain surgery?
Thank you

Hello Milan my name is ***** ***** I will help you.

What does the policy say about cancellation fees for matters when you can't drive please?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
There nothing on policy apart from 50£ cxl fees after 14days.
Apparently I pay loan for that I was told today, I wasn't aware of any loan.
Surely in case of unpredictable health issues I should be able to just cancel?

Sadly not - unless the terms say.

If the policy allowed you to cancel because of illness then you could.

But if the policy does NOT allow this then you can not just cancel. Otherwise lots of people could just say they are not able to drive.

But if you wish to dispute the charge you can take it to the Financial Ombudsman who offer a free, independent service at:

Can I clarify anything for you about this today please?
