Customer Question

I have been informed that before a Russian citizen is permitted to visit the U.K., amongst other documents, they are required to provide evidence that they can support themselves financially for the duration of their visa. I would like to know if this is true, and how much money is required.

Thank you for your question

My name is ***** ***** I shall do my best to help you.

This is not in fact true.

To get the visa they must show how they will support themselves - but a letter of invitation from you confirming you will provide their accommodation and food is sufficient.

They do NOT have to prove they have a specific sum in their own account
