I bought my property in May 2001 and the property details

Customer Question

I bought my property in May 2001 and the property details which I still have stated in 2 separate places that my property was sold with fishing rights. My garden leads to a lake. 4 neighbours also have garden access to the lake.
When I first moved into my property I constructed a jetty which sticks out about 2 metres from the edge of the water and I have periodically fished from the jetty.
On Friday myself and my neighbours received a letter from West Midlands Safari park who are on the other side of the lake stating that we were trespassing on the lake and that the jetties had to be removed.
Is this correct? Thank you. Craig. ***@******.***

Ok, then they are correct. You have a right to fish, but from the side.

If you have constructed something on the lake, then it sits over the lake bed, which is their land.

Unless you had then for 20 years in place then you have no rights.

I am sorry that this is not the answer you want, not the one I want to give you, but I have a duty to be honest.

Can I clarify anything for you about this today please?
