Distance selling a motor car that the buyer has not seen, my obligations , does the law apply to me selling my private vehicle even though i am a trader

Hello my name is ***** ***** I will help you with this.

This was your own vehicle? Sold on the dealer premises or your home?

Customer: replied 3 years ago.
Yet to complete a sale from my home

Then the laws do not apply for distance selling etc.

There are the usual rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 in terms of mis-selling etc.

But the business consumer rights do not apply to your sale, if it is a one off and not in the course of business

Can I clarify anything for you about this today please?

Customer: replied 3 years ago.
I have an agreement to sell for £25950 . concern that once the car is delivered by a third party the buyer will find fault and make a claim against me for selling a 1969 classic e-type jaguar that needs some restoration

No, the usual rules do not apply for you as a business

Does that clarify?

Customer: replied 3 years ago.
Sounds to me that i should be OK to proceed with the sale, i plan to draw up some T&C's

Sure. If I could ask you to rate my answer before you go today, by clicking on the 5 stars or happy face, otherwise the site does not pay me for the time spent with you today. Thank you in advance and good luck!
