Customer Question

Hi. I was verbally charged by the police last night but on release they did not give me a charge sheet. Is this normal in Scotland?

Yes, there isn't no requirement for them to give you anything written down. The police would normally submit a report to the procurator fiscal who will either issue you with a criminal complaint, a fixed penalty or a warning letter. I hope that helps. Please leave a positive rating so that I am credited for my time.
