You will see above an extract from my Lloyds cc statement. This is for a lawnmower I purchased from Amazon. I have used this Lawnmower twice and it worked perfectly and I was very pleased with it. Now it won't start. I have checked the spark plug and fuel and oil levels and they are all ok. Here are the Amazon details:

Amazon expect me to disassemble the mower, drain it of all fluids, pack it all up, [I no longer have the packaging], and wait in all day for TNT to pick it up. This, I am not prepared to do. Apart from my being disabled, [hence the electric start], I think what they are asking is totally unreasonable.

What I want is to have the mower collected and either repaired or replaced at no further inconvenience to myself . It seems the only way I can achieve this is to take back my payment until I obtain satisfaction, which I think is my right.

The card issuer is jointly liable under S.75 Consumer Credit Act 1974

You need to write and set out your losses and request a refund within 14 days or say you will go to Court within 14 days. You should make sure you send this signed delivery and keep a copy.

If they do not refund you then you can issue proceedings in the County Court. You can either do this online at: or by completing form N1 and take it to your local County Court.

The Court will then issue a claim which a copy will be sent to the Defendant who will have a limited time to defend it, if not you can enter Judgment and enforce.
