Hi Thank you for your question and welcome. My name is ***** ***** I will assist you. If you do not owe this money then I would recommend you write back to the solicitor as follows:

(i) Say you deny any liability for this money;

(ii) Say it is a criminal offence to pursue people for money they do not owe under S.40 of the Administration of Justice Act 1970

(iii) Say if they continue to pursue you, you will vigorously defend any claim and hold them responsible for the cost of doing so. You also reserve the right to report them to the Solicitors Regulation Authority for what amounts to potential harassment.

I look forward to hearing from you.
Kind regards AJ
