Customer Question

What obligations does the proprietor of a title absolute have with regard to maintaining pathways and doorways on the property for which he holds title absolute but where a private owner owns a flat on the property with a lease of over 100 years? In other words, does the proprietor (freeholder) have an obligation to repair a path that leads to my property but which is owned by the freeholder?

Do you mean, does the freeholder have to repair the path over which you have a right of way?

If that is it, is there any mention of it in the lease?
