Customer Question

I am divorced. My ex-wife has recently advised me that she has started seeing a new partner.
While I have no problem with that (we have been apart 4 years now), it concerns me that as a father, I have no real knowledge of the man who now spends time in the same home as my daughter - this information hasn't been offered by my ex wife.
Am I being reasonable? What information about him am I legally entitled to enquire about, if any?

Thank you for your question - is there anything in particular you would want to know?

I guess I would like to know some basic information about the guy - seems reasonable. Also, as I don't know anything about him and have never met him, I can't really judge him, but as someone who has been through CRB checks myself so that I can volunteer at a Coder Dojo charity, it concerns me that I can't establish if this man might be of concern around children.

It’s not an uncommon question but you are not necessarily entitled to know all his background (or even his name) unless you know something about him which may be untoward. I know that this might seem like potentially closing the gate after the horses bolted but that’s the situation. Sorry.
