Ask a Law Question, Get an Answer ASAP!
Hello my name is ***** ***** I will help you with this.
Can you please explain your situation a little more?
Do you have a defence to the CCJ or do you accept you owe it?
Will the Claimant consent to it being set aside?
If they consent then yes you can set aside. You can do this using form N244:
You can send the Court the letter from the Claimant saying they consent and then it can be set aside without having to go to Court.
If the Claimant will NOT consent then sadly you cant get it removed.
That is because it is accurate and you accept you owe the money.
However, after 6 years it comes off your credit file anyway without you having to do anything.
Can I clarify anything for you about this today please?
All the best. If I could ask you to rate my answer before you go today, by clicking on the 5 stars or happy face, otherwise the site does not pay me for the time spent with you today. It is also an important part of the online process. Thank you in advance and good luck!
