I received a letter from the police yesterday about an RTA fail to stop and report that happened a month ago in my area asking if I have any information and the contact details of the officer investigating. Nobody else I know received a letter from them

Hi Jamie - apologies I have elaborated above. I was actually responsible for the incident but panicked and drove off. My car was damaged for some time before it was repaired but I’m wondering if they had actual evidence, why would they take over a month to leave the note? Circumstantial?

I will call shortly, will show as withheld.
