Ask a Law Question, Get an Answer ASAP!
Thanks for your question. I am a solicitor in Scotland. A criminal conviction stays on record indefinitely. However the conviction becomes spent after 12 months from the date of conviction and need not be disclosed on job applications except in certain applications where the law says you must disclose it, such as working with children or vulnerable adults for example. I hope that helps. Please leave a positive rating so that I am credited for my time.
What sort of licence?
The relevant offences are covered in Schedule 7 of the Gambling Act 2005 which is online. Prostitution doesn’t appear on the list.
