hello my child has chicken pox i took 3 days off to look after her until my husband returned from holland and then i was back at work i was told i wont get paid i do not understand why my company has made this decision when my children are rarely ill my line manager didnt even ask me when i was coming back in or discuss anything with me he just said we cant keep doing this and you are not getting paid

Is there anything in your contract which allows you to get paid for taking time off like this?

our HR has stated that this can be paid or the line manage can discuss with employee as to why they have deicided unpaid leave mainly if there is a concern about absence which is not a problem with me
