My uncles died without making a will. His children disowned

This answer was rated:

Hi my uncles died without making a will. His children disowned him over 15 years ago are they still entitled to his estate under Scots law
Assistant: Since estate law varies from place to place, can you tell me where this is?
Customer: Just outside Edinburgh Scotland
Assistant: What documents or supporting evidence do you have?
Customer: I have his death certificate ibut no will
Assistant: Anything else you want the lawyer to know before I connect you?
Customer: No I don't think so
Customer: replied 6 months ago.
Oh his funeral was yesterday

Thanks for your question. I am a solicitor in Scotland. If he left no widow his children are entitled to his whole estate. I hope that helps. Please leave a positive rating so that I am credited for my time.
