Hello my name is ***** ***** I will help you. I am just reviewing your question. This is an email service so there may be delays when responding.

Did you touch the phone at all whilst in the car?

Customer: replied 5 months ago.
i did put my finger on the unlock button while stoped at a light

Was your handbrake on and engine stopped ?

Customer: replied 5 months ago.
no
Customer: replied 5 months ago.
i litrally touched the unlock button as it was a finger scanner then passed to the passanger next to me just want to know what i would be looking at facing

Then sadly it’s an offence

Just by touching your phone which engine running and handbrake off, it’s an offence .

You can contest it and it would go to court. You would lose as you accept unlocking it,

I am sorry if this is not the answer you want, or the one I want to give you, but I have a duty to be honest.

Can I clarify anything for you about this today please?

Customer: replied 5 months ago.
jusr want to know what i would be facing
Customer: replied 5 months ago.
as was told i could get sent on a course

Possible if you have no previous.

But that is down to the police force. Not all of them offer this.

Does that clarify?

Customer: replied 5 months ago.
ok so it is a possibility as have only been driving since july and they say the max penalty is 6 points and a 100 fine

Yes it’s possible,

Does that assist ?

Customer: replied 5 months ago.
that would mean i loose my licence

You would have to take your test again as a new driver.

Does that clarify ?

Customer: replied 5 months ago.
is there anything i can do to prevent this happening

No sadly. Wait to see if they offer the course.

Does that assist?

Customer: replied 5 months ago.
ok thank you

Can I assist with anything else today?

Customer: replied 5 months ago.
what would you say my chance of keeping my licence is as i have only a previous of speeding but that went to a course and didnt gwt any points for that

Unlikely. You have had a course already. They won’t offer you a second one.

It’s as I said above, only if you have no previous.

Does that clarify ?

Customer: replied 5 months ago.
even if the previous is for speeding and this is not

correct.
