Regarding a Traffic Offence Report. The officer issuing the ticket has clearly ticked the wrong Issuing Force box i.e. Devon and Cornwall force and not Dorset force. Will this be relevant if I challenge the ticket?
Assistant: Because traffic laws vary from place to place, can you tell me where this is?
Customer: It was in Poole Dorset.
Assistant: Do you need to appear in court?
Customer: Not sure, I'm being recommended for prosecution.
Assistant: Anything else you want the lawyer to know before I connect you?
Customer: No thank you.

Hi, welcome to JustAnswer. My name is*****’m a barrister with 12 years of experience and I am happy to help with your question today.

what was the offence please?

Phone in hand whilst driving. The phone is not used for calls or texting but in my job as a delivery driver it is used for customer signatures.

Hello, are you still on line?

Were you using your phone?

Customer: replied 2 months ago.
no

Thanks for the information

The wrong force is a non issue really.

The only thing that is an issue is whether you were using your phone. That is a simple question of fact which you can deny if indeed you were not.

Hope this helps. Please let me know if you need more information.
