JA: What steps have you taken? Have you filed any papers in family court?
Customer: no
JA: Family Court normally sits in a local County and Magistrates' Court. Do you know the location of the court? If not, what county do you live in?
Customer: just received a letter from court and mediation documents to fill in
JA: Anything else you want the lawyer to know before I connect you?
Customer: Northampton court on 26 of this month 10am I would like to have a solicitor with me and my son the baby dad

Let me see if I can help and please rate five stars for my time. You need to make a formal application to the court for the child to continue to live with you. You would apply to the court for a child arrangements order for the children to live with you. This is on all on a form C100.

https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/form-c100-application-under-the-children-act-1989-for-a-child-arrangements-prohibited-steps-specific-issue-section-8-order-or-to-vary-or-discharge

I have also attached a link to a website where you can get yourself a direct access barrister who may be able to represent you at such a hearing. https://www.directaccessportal.co.uk

I have listed a great book which should really help you https://www.amazon.co.uk/Represent-Yourself-Family-Court-understanding/dp/147211910X

But I would make the application immediately.

Please rate five stars
