what is the process I can take to have travelers removed from private land
JA: Where are you? It matters because laws vary by location.
Customer: Im in Nottingham, Newark and Sherwood district
JA: What steps have you taken so far?
Customer: The land is now empty. This is for future removal
JA: Anything else you want the lawyer to know before I connect you?
Customer: Its a strange one. The land is owned by the local farmer but his gates are on a private road owned by the local community

Hello my name is ***** ***** I will help you. I am just reviewing your question. This is an email service so there may be delays when responding.

You need to serve a notice to quit on them.

If they refuse to move then you need to apply to Court to seek an order for possession.

Then and only then can bailiffs act.

But you MUST MUST MUST get a Court order for removal.

Can I clarify anything for you about this today please?

If not I would appreciate a 5 star rating for my answer, the button should be at the top of the screen. If you need more help, you can ask follow up questions for free and I would be delighted to assist. Thanks!

How long should this process take
Where would the notice to quit come from

The process can take a few weeks. You serve the notice yourself, no prescribed format.

Does that clarify?
