Hi, I'm Lea
How long have the CCJ's been on your file?
CCJs remain on your credit reports for a period of 6 years, even if they have been settled. Though if they have been settled, then the credit file is marked as such - i.e. that the debt no longer exists and has been paid for. But the markers remain on your file until 6 years, at which point they drop off and are no longer visible or accessible by those searching your credit records.
Some mortgage companies will be prepared to take a pragmatic view about settled debts, so it may help you to use a mortgage broker to find a mortgage.
I understand this might not be the news you wanted, but it is accurate.
Please accept and rate positively as that is how I am credited for my time.
