Can I ask a insurance provider for proof of documents etc

Customer Question

Can I ask a insurance provider for proof of documents etc under the freedom of information act
Assistant: Where are you? It matters because laws vary by location.
Customer: Somerset england
Assistant: What steps have you taken so far?
Customer: Asked for proof of damage they say was done to my and a third parties cars
Assistant: Anything else you want the Lawyer to know before I connect you?
Customer: How much it will cost me
Assistant: The Expert's answer will cost $10 to $100, depending on the issue type and time to respond. You'll see the exact amount on the next page and can decide then. It's way less expensive and more convenient than any face-to-face visit.

Can I clarify you require this information from your insurance company?

Yes
Expert:  Anthony Chendo replied 11 days ago.

You do not need to request this information via the freedom of information act.

I suggest you undertake the following steps below

Expert:  Anthony Chendo replied 11 days ago.

Write an email setting why the incident was not your fault.

Then say to the insurer if they disagree please provide ALL evidence including the third party engineer report which supports the third party's account of the incident.
