I own a limited company here in the UK. We have had a letter from a solicitor acting on behalf of Microsoft for selling counterfeit windows product keys. The product keys have been identified as MSDN keys.
They have sent a offer providing we pay a compensation fee which will be agreed between both parties. They also require us to provide details of our suppiler and transactions we have made.
Expert:  UKSolicitorJA replied 7 months ago.

Do you admit the actions as alleged?

Customer: replied 7 months ago.
Hi, I was under the impression from our suppiler that the product keys we were selling were genuine.

Thank you.

I would suggest you pass on the letter to your supplier and ask them to comment on it and if possible, to indemnify you against any action or claim that may be taken against you, including paying any damages that you have to pay Microsoft.
