thanks i am thinking of buying an ex police car and it is advertised as tax exempt would this pass on to me if i buy it.
JA: Where are you? It matters because laws vary by location.
Customer: kent uk
JA: What steps have you taken so far?
Customer: none but 2 cars have caught my eye and both are ex police
JA: Anything else you want the Lawyer to know before I connect you?
Customer: is this going to cost me anything

Hi thank you for your message, how old is the police car?

Assuming this is not a classic police car and therefore tax exempt due to age i.e. pre 1980's then the tax exemption applies only to cars being used for police purposes this exemption is lost when used as a private vehicle. I hope this helps, if you can please accept my answer and rate me 5 stars (in the top right of your screen) then Just Answer will credit me for helping you today.
