Customer Question

Nazareth House in Southend is over a 100 years old and is an unusual building can it be listed?
JA: Where is this? It matters because laws vary by location.
Customer: Nazareth House is in southend-on -sea and it's Essex first children's home, later it became a Home for the Seniors.
JA: What steps have been taken so far?
Customer: None so far but the local council wants to knock it down to build luxury flats. This land was given to the French nun who came over to open the Home for homeless children. It's prime land and has several buildings all attached yet look quite different.
JA: Anything else you want the Lawyer to know before I connect you?
Customer: Yes. The local council has found many faults with the building, yet when part of the building was emptied they would not allow it .... yet they condemn it. We feel they have an ulterior motive.
