Assistant: How can I help? i would like to talk to a lawyer

This answer was rated:

Hello
Assistant: Hi. How can I help?
Customer: i would like to talk to a lawyer regarding a situation I am in
Assistant: Where are you? It matters because laws vary by location.
Customer: london
Assistant: What steps have you taken so far?
Customer: Nothing, I would like to consult with a lawyer first
Assistant: Anything else you want the Lawyer to know before I connect you?
Customer: it has to do with a scam. I was scammed of a lot of money

Hello, this is Jim and I am a dual-qualified lawyer (UK and Republic of Ireland) and happy to help you today.

Who has scammed you?

Is it possible to have a phone call?

I'm unavailable for a call but I am fine to deal with the question online if that suits. If you would like a call there should be a button to click and the request will go out to other experts who would be able to ring you and discuss. Let me know.

Customer: replied 7 months ago.
Can we talk in 5-10 min, please?

You would need to press the call request button but like I said before I cannot take a call.

I will therefore opt out to let another expert assist you with your question going forwards. Please do not reply to this message as the question will stay with me and there will be a delay with the reallocation.

Many thanks.

Hello.

Can you elaborate what has happened and what amount of money have you been defrauded of?

Thank you.

Hello, roughly around 50 000 gbp
Customer: replied 7 months ago.
I would like to discuss the situation in person ideally - there are a lot of embarrassing details

I understand, this is how we can proceed.

I can disclose my business email and you can send me further details about what has happened and bank statements of all transfers you have made.

Our law firm might be able to help you.

No worries, just send me the documents I have asked as a preliminary stage.

Thank you.

Also, I would like to know what sort of legal person should I look for? I am based in Londo
Customer: replied 7 months ago.
But before we proceed, I really would like to get legal advice

No worries, just send me the documents I have asked, as that is the primary evidence and we need to assess the circumstances of your case.

THank you.

But, before I do this, I would like to know a few things

Please ask.

Thank you.

Customer: replied 7 months ago.
The situation has to do with a girl that I was dating. However, I found out that she was married the whole time.

I understand.

I was advised earlier to call action fraud, however, there are a few things that I did in order to figure out the truth that might be considered illegal... I would like to discuss those first and what would happen to me if I admit it all in front of the police

No worries, you can send me an email about what has happened, the matter will be legally privileged.

Our discussion in here is not exactly private.

Thank you.

Are you there?

Yes

Customer: replied 7 months ago.
The case is very complicated. I really need to discuss it in private and not over the phone or internet. What sort of person do I need to talk to? Lawyer? Solicitor?

You should discuss with a lawyer or law firm specialized in fraud.

Thank you.

Ok, thank you
