Hi my housemate moved out and has since States that the rent she was paying was too high and is seeking advice. There is no tenancy agreement and she had the choice to pay more and did. Does she have any legal standing?

my hoysemate has moved out. She verbally said a week ago that she was happy to give 2 months notice. However now wants to give one which is fine. The rent was out up last year and she is now saying that she has been overcharged and is seeking advice however she was happy to pay the higher amount. Does she have any legal standing in this as there was never a tenancy agreement
