Hi i have recently been fired from my previous job and I believe it was illegal
JA: Have you discussed the termination with a manager or HR? Or with a lawyer?
Customer: I’m not sure what HR is but I haven’t spoke to a manager or a lawyer
JA: What is your employment status? Are you an employee, freelancer, consultant or contractor? Do you belong to a union?
Customer: I’m unemployed now
JA: Anything else you want the Lawyer to know before I connect you?
Customer: That I wasn’t given much warning. I was only given one verbal and then I was fired. I wasn’t given two weeks notice like you are supposed to

I was working on home delivery in Morrison’s and I was fired for being too slow yet there was others there with me who were also “slow” and are still there.I was with my employer for two monthI do have my contract

I believe I was fired for my mental health though as I had a panic attack there and not too long after I was fired. There was a one on one meeting with all staff in home delivery so I don’t believe that was really my warning. In my contact it didn’t say they could terminate me due to being slow. I was also only on home delivery until Morrison’s cafe was back open

Unfortunately very little you can do with such short service. Unfair dismissal does not apply.

You may have a case for wrongful dismissal however, if the employer has not followed correct disciplinary rules as per your contract if employment.
