I have a personal loan with my bank, I had a payment due out

Customer Question

I have a personal loan with my bank , I had a payment due out on the 27 June being a weekend the payment would be paid on the Monday , the funds are in my account . I have seen the bank has charged me the interest in the 27 and my repayments which were at 51 payments to go has now increased to 53 payments to go.
I find this very cheeky and surely they cannot do this ?

Thank you for your question and welcome. My name is ***** ***** I will assist you. Will this actually result in you being paid more interested? If so you really only have the following options - 1. Complain to the bank - in their customer charter they owe you an obligation to be transparent or 2. If that is not satisfactory complain to the Financial Ombudsman https://www.financial-ombudsman.org.uk/
I look forward to hearing from you.
Kind regards
AJ

Thank you. Has the overall amount of the loan changed? Or have you paid more interest as a result? Here is the complaints line to Halifax? https://www.halifax.co.uk/mortgages/existing-customers/ex-tb/making-a-complaint/
