Hi, I have a query about recovery a debt that is owed to me
JA: Where are you? It matters because laws vary by location.
Customer: London, UK#
JA: What steps have you taken so far?
Customer: I have emailed on Monday to ask where the money is - it should have been paid to me on 09/09
JA: Anything else you want the Lawyer to know before I connect you?
Customer: It's in reference to money owed to me fro work I have done but I think it is a commercial contract

How much is owed to you?

Is online advice free now I have paid my £5 trial? I will most likely need to pay a fee to recover the money so I would like to keep costs down if possible

Thank you.

I would advise you to send them a letter before action giving them say 21 days to pay the money failing which you may issue proceedings in the small claims court for the money online at

I would suspect that they will pay you when they receive your court claim, if not your letter before action.

May I help further?

Thank you, ***** ***** exactly how I plan to proceed. Can I send the letter before action via email or do I need to do it by recorded delivery in the post or both?

You may send both by email and signed for post.

All the best. Please leave a positive rating.
