Hi, I'm Lea

You'll need to be a bit more specific with your request.

Hi there, I am looking for representation to defend a fraud claim
Customer: replied 4 days ago.
at this stage I am just looking to confirm costs I do not wish to speak to anyone
Customer: replied 4 days ago.
sorry i am a bit confused, do you only take phone calls?

This is a Q&A forum, so you can ask questions here to get guidance.

What type of case is it that you need representation for?

Customer: replied 4 days ago.
ok, I have been accused of fraud by the local council, they have requested i attend a meeting at the local offices under caution, i wish to know more details about the questions they will ask me, but they are refusing to tell me, although they have said they will tell a legal representative

Benefit fraud?

Customer: replied 4 days ago.
no, I applied for the covid £10,000 grant

You can find a solicitor here:

Sorry it is such an awkward looking link, but I have defined the search for criminal lawyers who specialise in fraud. You just need to type your postcode in to get solicitors in your particular area.

ok thank you for that, and if i need advice from you, how do i proceed?
Customer: replied 4 days ago.
as i have a few questions, and the solicitors on the above list are just too expensive, which is why I am here

Well, I have answered your initial question about representation, so you will need to open new threads for each new question you have. Questions which are directly related to each other can be asked in the same thread.

Customer: replied 4 days ago.
ok so i have to finish this now?

Let me know what your next question is, if it is a simple enough answer, I can answer it here. If it requires more indepth info, I'll ask you to post it in a new thread.

Customer: replied 4 days ago.
ok, I am getting how this works, you will have to excuse me, it is my first try, ok, question, Were bankrupt individuals eligible for the small business rate relief £10,000 grant

You were bankrupt when you applied? No, you were not eligible.

Customer: replied 4 days ago.
At the time I spoke to a bankruptcy helpline, who informed me that I was, also information around that time was limited, even now I still cannot find any information regarding this, it only states companies not individuals

That's something you are going to have to discuss with a solicitor...I think you genuinely need one for the interview with the council as that interview may well be under caution. If you have a solicitor they will be able to find out what information the council has, which will help you to clear up the issue if you have evidence to disprove what they state.

I would not suggest you do this on your own.

All the best.

Ok, can I pay the £44 and give you a call, how long do i get?

I just responded to that in the new thread you opened. I don't make phone calls on this system, but if you post a new thread up you can specifically request a phone call and another expert will pick it up.
