Will the lender do checks between exchanging and completion?
Customer: replied 7 days ago.
I am worried we will lose the mortgage offer. I wasn’t affected by fraud.

Hello, my name is ***** ***** I will help you. I am just reviewing your question. Hopefully, we can get this resolved quickly.

If you have already exchanged and had an offer, then no. There will be no further checks.

Usually, they do one credit check and that is it.

As such you can continue fine. Of course, report it as fraud to the lenders and Action Fraud.

But there is nothing else you need to do. The lender won't carry out another check as you have exchanged.

Can I clarify anything for you about this today, please?

If you need anything further I am available for a follow up at no extra cost.
