Ask a Law Question, Get an Answer ASAP!
Good afternoon, I am sorry to hear of your situation. It is a criminal offence to interfere with someone else's post. However, it is not possible to say whether the post is being thrown away or sent back as 'returned to sender'.
If you can afford to you should get a mail redirection for your post from your father's house to a safe address.
It should also be possible to login online to your car insurance, phone and pension accounts and update your change of address that way.
Oh that's awful to do that to your Nan too. Have you managed to sort the redirection now?
Perhaps if you contact the post office and explain the situation they maybe able to help, but I think they will say the same as me, that you urgently need to contact all your providers and tell them not to use that address, perhaps you could get a Post Office box so it would stay the same if you had to move again?
Thank you, ***** *****
