My husband who is a sole trader carpenter built a 3k outdoor

Customer Question

Hi
JA: Hello. How can I help?
Customer: My husband who is a sole trader carpenter built a 3k outdoor kitchen for someone. The customer is now complaining of being unhappy evan though while he was there said he was. We have offered a goodwill refund of around £500. He has refused that and said he will come up with the price. However we know that*****more than enough. Where do we stand legally.
JA: Where is this? It matters because laws vary by location.
Customer: UK
JA: What steps have been taken so far?
Customer: He made his complaint and we have offered a refund.
JA: Is there anything else the Lawyer should know before I connect you? Rest assured that they'll be able to help you.
Customer: I think that's about it

We were £300 short which was apart of the refund.

Hi,

At this stage, there is not much your husband can do unless he wishes to pursue the shortfall.

If the customer wishes to pursue this, they must do so by filing a claim through the local county court.

I hope this answers your question.  If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to ask.

Many thanks

he could take us to court evan though we have been more than generous with the refund offer? Would that make it to court?

Hi,

Possibly yes, however, your husband would have a counterclaim against the customer.  If your husband has offered a refund of £500, this would be taken into consideration.
