My father had been sectioned under the mental health act on feb2020 as he was diagnosed then to be in late stages of dementia. I found out at this time over the phone while discussing how we as a family were going to pay for his care that he had changed the deeds of the house and left the house to my nephew. This I was told by my nephews mother had been done 2years ago. I have now found out after making a land registry check that the house deeds were changed in August 2019 and is registered i my brothers and his partners name not my nephew who is their son.

Ok.

What is it you want to know about this?

Customer: replied 12 days ago.
Do i have a case of contesting this change to the deeds
Customer: replied 12 days ago.
As it was done so close to him being hospitalised and as I was lied to about the time and to whom it had been left to
Expert:  INC Law replied 12 days ago.

Hi,

Possibly. You would need to see whom the application was submitted by and then possibly raise a dispute with HM Land Registry

Customer: replied 12 days ago.
Ok.How can I find out whom it was submitted by
Expert:  INC Law replied 12 days ago.

You would need to contact HM Land Registry

Customer: replied 12 days ago.
Is this a case of just filling a form at home and then giving it to a solicitor or sending it direct
Customer: replied 12 days ago.
Sorry if my questions seem naive but have no experience in this situation
Expert:  INC Law replied 12 days ago.

Hi,

You would need to contact HM Land Registry directly and request the information from them.

Customer: replied 12 days ago.

Expert:  INC Law replied 12 days ago.
