Ask a Law Question, Get an Answer ASAP!
Hi, I’m Lea and I will be assisting you with your query today.
When is the hearing set for? Have you been assessed for legal aid already?
The following is useful info to assist you with the site:
You can apply for an adjournment on form C2. You need to make this application as soon as possible, but first you should seek the agreement of the other party (via his solicitor if he has one) as the court are more likely to adjourn if both parties agree. If they don't agree, you need to submit the C2: cost is £215 unless you are on a low income or benefits in which case you may be eligible for fee remission.
With regards ***** ***** a legal aid solicitor, you should go to the link below and fill out your details. The link will ultimately, if you're eligible, either give you an initial phone number to call or arrange for someone to call you to take the first steps of getting a legal aid solicitor. www.gov.uk/check-legal-aid
Alternatively you can try to find one here; solicitors.lawsociety.org.uk
Can I clarify anything for you about my answer?
You can find your local court here: https://www.gov.uk/find-court-tribunal
However, I suggest you go to the legal aid link I provided above to see if you can get a solicitor under legal aid first.
All the best.
You should open new threads with new queries. I will answer this single query for free here.
It means the hearing is going ahead and your application to adjourn failed. You will be able to ask the judge again on the day of the hearing.
