I started freelance work & signed a contract with some weird

Hi,
I started freelance work & signed a contract with some weird "non-compete" / "conflict of interest" clauses. Now, a claim arose with a "breach of contract" & a raised charge of €5.000 as well as the threat for further investigation & charges.
Hence, I'm seeking legal advice & help to craft a letter contesting enforceability of these clauses & on my response or a follow-up letter to them for a settlement agreement under which they confirm not to bring up any claims against me in the future.

Please note there may be delays in responding as I am away helping other customers but I will get back to you as soon as I can.  I may also need to ask you some clarifying questions to determine the legal position.

Thanks for your message, I appreciate it is important to you. Are you asking for us to write this letter on your behalf?

Without the information requested in my previous response, I can only give you a general answer, but I hope this helps.
